Roads

When Mayor Gregg Hull took office in 2014, one of his first priorities was tackling decades of neglected road infrastructure across Rio Rancho. Over the years, roads had fallen into significant disrepair, leading to countless issues for residents. Mayor Hull spearheaded efforts to secure funding and resources to address these problems. Under his leadership more than $120 million has been invested to make miles of residential roads upgraded leading to making neighborhoods safer and more accessible for everyone.

In 2016, recognizing the scale of the problem, Mayor Hull collaborated with local leaders and the community to successfully pass the city’s first road bond since 2009. This bond marked a turning point, delivering $10 million every two years—pending voter approval—to improve and maintain Rio Rancho’s roads. With these funds, the city completed significant projects, such as upgrades to High Resort Boulevard and Sara Road, all on time and within budget. This ongoing investment in infrastructure ensures Rio Rancho remains a vibrant and well-connected community.

To support police officers and firefighters, Mayor Hull secured funding to provide competitive salaries, comprehensive training, and career advancement opportunities.
