Today I was honored to join Keep NM Alive and so many members of our community at the Walk for Lives in Rio Rancho.
Every step taken today represented someone we have lost, someone who is still fighting addiction, and every family whose lives have been forever changed by the fentanyl crisis.
Fentanyl is devastating communities across New Mexico. This isn’t a political issue—it’s a human issue. We must continue to raise awareness, support prevention and recovery efforts, and stand with the law enforcement officers, first responders, healthcare professionals, and advocates who work every day to save lives.
Thank you to United Agaist Fentanyl for organizing this important event and for being a voice for those impacted by addiction. Together, we can bring hope, strengthen our communities, and work toward a safer future for every New Mexican.
