State’s Largest Law Enforcement Organization Backs Hull for Governor

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Hull for New Mexico campaign today announced that former Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull has received the unanimous endorsement of the New Mexico State Fraternal Order of Police, following a delegate vote at the organization’s 72nd State Conference. The endorsement was further affirmed by Albuquerque FOP Lodge #1, the state’s largest lodge.

In a letter announcing the endorsement, Lodge #1 President Bill Davis wrote: “We need someone like you that will stand with law enforcement and give us the tools that we need to do our job. We also need someone that will defend our rights and allow us to serve and protect the citizens of this state. We don’t need just a politician in office. We need someone that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved.”

“Receiving the unanimous support of the New Mexico State Fraternal Order of Police is one of the greatest honors of this campaign,” said Hull. “I spent 12 years as Mayor of Rio Rancho fighting for our officers – more than doubling the police budget because I believe the men and women who put on a badge every day deserve the resources to keep our communities safe. As Governor, I will bring that same commitment to every city and county in New Mexico. Our law enforcement officers will always have a partner in the Governor’s Office.”

The endorsement reflects Hull’s long record of backing law enforcement with action, not just words. As Mayor of Rio Rancho, Hull oversaw significant growth in the city’s police department, more than doubling its budget over his 12-year tenure – a commitment to public safety that earned him deep credibility with the law enforcement community.

Hull has made public safety a cornerstone of his campaign for Governor, pledging to restore respect for law enforcement, end policies that tie officers’ hands, and ensure New Mexico’s communities are safe places to live, work, and raise a family.

New Mexico State FOP represents thousands of active and retired law enforcement officers across the state.
