Hull Campaign Responds to Deb Haaland Press Conference

September 17, 2026

RIO RANCHO, New Mexico (September 17, 2026) – Gregg Hull, Republican nominee for New Mexico Governor, issued the following statement in response to Democratic nominee Deb Haaland’s press conference today calling for a moratorium on new data centers in New Mexico.

“My opponent’s call for a moratorium on data centers is suspicious considering it comes two days after it was discovered that she took nearly $100,000 from Oracle and Project Jupiter executives,” Hull said. “She was caught with her hand in the cookie jar and this press conference was just an attempt to do damage control.”

Campaign finance reports from the last reporting period show Haaland received multiple donations totaling $87,200 from Oracle America and executives with Clayco, the company constructing Project Jupiter. Oracle donated $12,400 to Haaland, while another $74,800 came from employees including top leadership at both Oracle and Clayco. Several of those donations were max-out donations of $12,400.

Gregg Hull has not accepted nor solicited donations from big data.
